RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures integrity of financial records by maintaining internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights into the company’s performance and trends.
  • Oversees timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Leads month-end close process.
  • Leads Grieve’s budgeting and forecasting processes, ensure alignment of departments and strategic goals.
  • Cash management for the business with daily cash balance monitoring.
  • Monitors company project costs and profitability.
  • Oversees Inventory processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory counts.
  • Proactively initiates various projects to increase the efficiency and profitability of the business.
  • Calculates and pays sales taxes for multiple states.
  • Leads and supports external audits and reviews.
  • Prepares ROI to support various business cases and capital investments.
  • Manages Grieve’s institutional investment funds.
  • Processes government request for data (US Census, EEOC).
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP:

  • Hands-on leader capable of directly supervising 1 to 3 people. (AR, AP, and IT personnel)
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for our staff.
  • Team player providing strategic support to management, assisting with decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • CPA / MBA Preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, operational accounting, and financial reporting.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Microsoft Dynamics, Paylocity experience desired.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and/or relational databases
  • High degree of comfort and familiarity with general ledger, financial reporting, and other accounting systems.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
  • Experience with 401k and profit-sharing processing desired.
