As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the test area of our shop. Your primary focus will be on safely producing high-quality ovens and furnaces efficiently and on time. You will schedule production and ensure proper movement of products throughout your area. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized facility, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. You will provide training to employees and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervision / Leadership: Lead and motivate your team to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work performed in your area is compliant with the Grieve Quality Management System.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources to meet production schedules for equipment and parts.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of engagement and continues development among employees.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and uphold best practices for processes within your area.
  • Training: Provide necessary training to employees to enhance their skills and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Education: Minimum of an associate degree with relevant proven experience.
  • Manufacturing Expertise: Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Electro-Mechanical Experience: Proven experience in an electro-mechanical environment.
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience in welding, sheet metal, electrical, assembly, and quality control.

  • Production and Personnel Organization: Coordinate production activities and personnel assignments based on overall workload and the production needs of other departments.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently manage tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the products being manufactured.
  • Technical Capability: Demonstrate expertise in quality management systems, testing, painting, and electrical systems.
